A. Application Schedule for 2017/18

For current Research Tuition Scholarship (RTS) holders, the new award will take effect immediately after the expiration of their current award, for example, if the current award will expire at the end of Sep 2017, the new award will take effect from 1 Oct 2017 and ends on 31 Aug 2018.

B. Application Notes and Procedure

Outstanding Academic Performance Award (OAPA)
To be eligible for application, it is required that students should have completed at least twelve calendar months of study counting from the commencement date of study up to the starting date of the award period (excluding period of study interruption, if any) and are within their (normal) study period. 
Research Tuition Scholarships (RTS)
All current students may apply for the Scholarship.

To apply for the OAPA/RTS, please submit an application (SGS11) with the support of supervisor to the School/Department by the application deadline. Late applications will normally not be processed. The form is obtainable from the SGS Website (Download Area): http://www.cityu.edu.hk/sgs/rpg/student. Please read the guidelines in the form carefully before submitting your application.

C. Application Results

Students will be notified of the results by writing according to the schedule stated in "Announcement of Application Results" .

Outstanding Academic Performance Award (OAPA)
For successful cases, students will be presented a certificate of award issued by the Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies in an annual award presentation ceremony. In addition, awardees will also be given a cash prize of HK$1,000, which will be paid directly to their designated bank account.
Research Tuition Scholarship (RTS)
For successful cases, the students will be exempted from paying tuition fees during the award period. Please note that backdating of the award period will not be entertained.
